This website is operated by 4 Seasons Remodeling & Design. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to 4 Seasons Remodeling & Design. By visiting our site and/or engaging our design or construction services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
Mandatory California HIC Disclosure
While this website facilitates project inquiries, all actual construction work is performed under a separate, written California Home Improvement Contract (HIC) as required by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). The terms of that signed physical or digital contract shall supersede any information found on this website.
1. Services & Estimates
Estimates provided via this website or during initial site visits are "Good Faith Estimates" and are not binding until a formal job-site inspection and engineering review are completed. We reserve the right to adjust pricing based on:
- Fluctuations in raw material costs (Lumber, Steel, Copper).
- Structural discoveries during the architectural "discovery phase."
- Specific permitting requirements from the City of Westlake Village or Ventura/LA County.
2. Site Access & Safety
For all active projects, the Client agrees to provide safe and unencumbered access to the property for our crews and subcontractors. 4 Seasons Remodeling & Design maintains a rigorous safety protocol; however, construction sites are inherently dangerous. Clients are advised to keep children and pets away from active work zones at all times.
3. Change Orders & Scope of Work
Any deviation from the original signed contract—whether requested by the Client or required by a Building Inspector—must be documented in a written Change Order. Work on said changes will not commence until the Change Order is signed by both parties and any associated costs are paid according to the agreement.
4. Force Majeure & Delays
4 Seasons Remodeling & Design is not liable for delays caused by factors outside of our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Unfavorable weather conditions (including wildfire-related restrictions).
- Governmental delays in permit issuance or inspections.
- National supply chain disruptions or manufacturer backorders.
- Labor strikes or "Acts of God."
5. Professional Photography & Marketing
The Client grants 4 Seasons Remodeling & Design the right to take "Before" and "After" photographs of the project area for use in the Company's portfolio and marketing materials. We agree to protect the Client’s privacy by not disclosing specific addresses or personal identifying details in such publications without prior consent.
6. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt mediation in good faith. Any legal proceedings arising from these terms or our services shall be conducted in the jurisdiction of Ventura County, California.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold 4 Seasons Remodeling & Design and our affiliates, partners, and employees harmless from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
